South Korean President Park Geun-hye arrived in China on Sunday for an annual summit of Asia-Pacific leaders, apparently mindful of continuing diplomatic friction with Japan and growing North Korean belligerence.
Park's trip to China to attend a two-day Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum on Monday and Tuesday is part of South Korea's efforts to expand its diplomatic clout across the region.
From Beijing, she will fly to Myanmar and then Australia for separate multinational leaders' summits.
