Ebaraji Temple is a Buddhist temple of Koyasan-Shingon sect located in Ebaraji-cho, Nishi-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. In 704,the temple wad erected at the birthplace of Gyoki who was a famous monk in the Nara period. Gyoki is worshipped as the "bodhisattva of wisdom." The temple is a popular destination for students taking entrance exams. They write their prayers for good luck and success on their tests on the handkerchiefs and stick them on the main hall's walls and columns.
