At least 125 people have been killed in a stampede at a Hindu temple in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. Officials told that at least 150 more were injured in the incident at the Chamunda Devi temple in Jodhpur.

China's third manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7 blasted off from the northwestern Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Thursday. It completed orbit maneuver successfully at 4:05 a.m.(Beijing Time) on Friday, entering into the round orbit.

A gunman has killed 10 people at a college in the town of Kauhajoki in Finland before shooting himself and later dying in hospital. Media reports named the gunman as Matti Juhani Saari, 22. Finland's prime minister has called for gun laws to be tightened after a school shooting.

Prince Yamato Takeru , originally Prince Ousu , was known as a Japanese legendary prince, who was son of Emperor Keiko of Yamato dynasty. Prince Ousu slew his elder brother Prince Oousu. The emperor Keiko feared his son’s brutal temperament and plotted to have his son die in battle. Emperor Keiko sent Ousu to Izumo Province, and then the land of Kumaso in Kyushu. But Ousu succeeded in defeating his enemies; He defeated Kumaso by dressing as a maid servant attendant at a drinking party. Just before dying, a Kumaso's boss praised Ousu and gave him the title Yamato Takeru, meaning The Brave of Yamato.

A fire at a nightclub has killed at least 43 people and injured another 88 in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. The fire broke out at 2300 on Saturday, in Dance King club ,where nearly 1,000 people were at the time, in the Long Gang district of the city.
A bomb blast has hit the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, killing at least 40 people. The blast created a 6m deep crater, and destroyed the entire front section of the hotel. The explosion is thought to have been caused by more than a tonne of explosives. The suicide truck bombing attack killed at least 40 people and wounded another 200, police said.
Kongo-ji is one of the main temples of Shingon Buddhist Mimuro group located in Kawachi-nagano-shi, Osaka,Japan. Traditionally, women were not allowed to visit the Shingon Buddhism temples in Koyasan, However, the Kongo-ji allowed for women to visit, and so it was called “Nyonin Koya”,or Koyasan for women. The Kongo-ji is said to have been built by Gyoki in the Nara Period (645-794). Gyoki, born to a powerful family at Ebara in Sakai, was a great Buddhist monk who lived to serve the masses and built as many as 49 temples. Akan, a Buddhist priest of Koya-san , built Kondo and Mieido( an inner temple in which the founder's image is installed in), and revived this temple in the late Heian Period. The temple became the Chokugan-ji of the Southern Court and a temporary palace for the Emperor Go-Murakami in the Nanboku-cho period. Afterwards, Emperor Kogon , Emperor Komyo, and Emperor Suko of the Northern Court used this temple as the temporary palaces. Many precious buildings and treasures are left in this temple because it did not undergo big disaster.

Mitami-Jinja is a Shinto shrine located at Kamotani-dai,Minami-ku,Sakai-shi,Osaka,Japan. Mitami Jinja is mentioned in the Engishiki and so is called a Shikinaisha. It had prospered for many years from the Heian period. This shrine was considered as Masashige Kusunoki's guardian deity, Kusunoki was a 14th century samurai who fought for Emperor Go-Daigo in his attempt to wrest rulership of Japan away from the Kamakura shogunate. The shrine buildings were burned down by the fire attack of Nobunaga Oda's troops in 1577(Tensho 5), but they were rebuilt in 1592(Tensho20) by Dosan Wada .who was an influential person in the Senshu area at that time. Deities enshrined here include Ame-no-Koyane no mikoto, Kumano no ookami, Itsukushima no ookami, Ookuninushi no mikoto, Sugawara no Michizane, , Hachiman no ookami, Kotohira no ookami, Susanoo no mikoto and Mikumari no ookami , There is a natural forest with an area of 8,250 square meters in the ground of the shrine, where many evergreen broad-leaved trees, such as Lithocarpus glaber, grow thickly.
China has announced the names of three astronauts for Shenzhou-7 mission. China's third manned spacecraft, Shenzhou-7 is set to launch on September 25, 2008. The three astronauts are Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng. A 42-year-old fighter pilot, Zhai Zhigang, has been chosen to perform the country's first spacewalk. He joined Chinese Air Force in 1985 and has more than 1,000-hour safe flight records.
Oyakodon is a type of Japanese donburi dish. It is the rice bowl dish boiled chicken and green onion in a sweet donburi sauce.
