Chinese central government officials and the private representatives of the 14th Dalai Lama agreed to hold another round of contact at an appropriate time when they met here on Sunday, Xinhua said.
The meeting was held between central government officials Zhu Weiqun and Sitar and the Dalai Lama's two private representatives Lodi Gyari and Kelsang Gyaltsen.
The two representatives, who arrived in this southern China city on Saturday, expressed their views on relevant matters and said they would report truthfully what had been discussed at the meeting to the Dalai Lama.

May 05 is Children's Day, called Kodomo no hi in Japanese.
The day was originally called Tango no Sekku、which was celebrated as Boys' Day, while Girls' Day ,Hinamatsuri in Japanese,was celebrated on March 3.
It is said in Japan Tango no Sekku was assigned to the fifth day of the fifth month after the Nara period (the years from AD 710 to 794 ).
The day was designated a National holiday by the Japanese government in 1948 and now is part of the Golden Week.
Before this day, families with male children raise the carp-shaped Streamers, koinobori .
Koinobori is usually one set by three carps.
The large black carp at the top, Magoi, represents the father, the second red carp ,Higoi, represents the mother, and the third blue one represents their children.
Families also display a Kintarō doll, who is a folk hero from children's story.
Kintarō doll usually rides on a large carp, and wears the traditional Japanese
military helmet, kabuto.
It is said the doll is symbol of a strong and healthy boy.
Kintarō is said the childhood name of Sakata no Kintoki,who became one of four brave and loyal followers of Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
Kintarō is expressed as follows in the famous children's song.

Deep in the Ashigara mountains, he called the animals together and practices "Sumo" wrestling with them.
May Dolls, Gogatsu-ningyo, may be decorated on this day.
